Davinder Bhela, D.P.M, grew up in Long Island. Dr. Bhela attended New York Institute of Technology majoring in pre-medical science and graduated Summa Cum Laude with the degree of Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences. He went on to continue his education at New York College of Podiatric Medicine, an institution school that focused on studying the medical and surgical care of the foot and ankle problems. He graduated with the degree Doctor of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Bhela furthered his education by undergoing 3 years of extensive training in Podiatric Medicine and Surgical residency at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center. His residency training focused on both conservative and surgical care of a wide variety of foot deformities, wound care, diabetic foot care as well as management of foot and ankle injuries. Because of his hard work and strong work ethic, he was chosen to be the chief resident in his final year. Upon completion of his 3 years of residency, Dr. Bhela formed Hicksville Podiatry. He is currently Board Certified with the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and Board Qualified in foot surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle surgery. He is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association. He is affiliated with Syosset Hospital, Plainview Hospital and Brookdale Hospital Medical Center. In his spare time, he likes to travel, play basketball, and spend time with his family.
